Lagos - Super Eagles captain Ahmed Musa has taken time out to congratulate Odion Ighalo on his goals exploits in the Premier League.
Ighalo has scored 14 Premier League goals for Watford this season, and will end 2015 as the top scorer in England with 30 goals, a development which hasn’t gone unnoticed by Musa, who is Ighalo’s captain in the national team.
"he’s a great striker and he has scored some good goals for his club this season and I am very happy for him,” said Musa, who plays for Russian giants, CSKA Moscow.
“I am very happy for him because he is my teammate and I hope he will continue to score more goals and do well for his club,” Musa said further.
Meanwhile, in a separate development, Musa has also hailed the home based Super Eagles team preparing for the 2016 CHAN tournament, and says he believes Nigeria has got a good team for the tournament.
“I think we have a good team here and I am wishing them luck and I hope they will make us proud by the grace of God,” Musa added.
