Man pulled from grave after being beaten up and buried alive

An unidentified man was found alive in a bloodstained tomb in the Caju Cemetery of Campos dos Goytacazes, Brazil.
Firemen were called to remove the cover and found a severely injured man lying inside the small tomb
According to local media reports, the 33-year-old man became the victim of an attempted murder, as he was severely beaten and thrown into another man’s grave.

But for the family members of the deceased who came to pray at a burial site the man would be dead as well. They noticed that the gravestone was moved and there was blood everywhere.
The baffled relatives immediately alerted the police and cemetery staff, who later called firemen to remove the tombstone. After opening the tomb, they found a severely injured man lying inside.
Victim was only discovered when visitors to the cemetery spotted blood on their loved one’s tombstone

He was rushed to hospital for treatment, where he is now in a stable condition. The exact circumstances of what happened are yet unclear, but police spokesman has confirmed they are carrying out an attempted murder investigation.
